Kokoro voices and language codes

A voice code has three parts. The first letter is the language, the second is f for female or m for male, and the rest is the name, so if_sara is an Italian female voice. Send the matching lang code with it.

Match voice and language. if_sara goes with "lang": "it", pf_dora with "lang": "pt-br". Use the lang code from the table for each voice.
Use punctuation to steer delivery. Commas, full stops and question marks change pauses and intonation. Our Kokoro punctuation guide has examples.
Split long text. One request takes up to 10,000 characters. Send chapters or paragraphs as separate requests and join the MP3 files.
Speed changes the price. speed goes from 0.5 to 2. At 2× a request costs half as much, at 0.5× twice as much.

Kokoro is an open text-to-speech model with 82 million parameters, released by hexgrad under the Apache 2.0 license. On deAPI you call it over HTTP with the 41 voices listed above, without running the model yourself. A full 10,000-character request costs $0.0077.

On deAPI, Kokoro has 41 voices: 20 American English, 8 British English, 3 Spanish, 1 French, 4 Hindi, 2 Italian and 3 Brazilian Portuguese.

The first letter is the language (a = American English, b = British English, e = Spanish, f = French, h = Hindi, i = Italian, p = Brazilian Portuguese), the second letter is f for female or m for male, and the rest is the voice name.
