Q: What happens when the $5 runs out?

New requests are rejected with an insufficient_balance error until you top up ($10, $25 or $50). There is no subscription. You add funds and keep paying per image. The first top-up also moves you to the higher Premium rate limits. Unused bonus credits expire 90 days after sign-up.

Send a prompt, get a request_id, then poll the job or receive a webhook. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with a key from your dashboard.

Endpoint: POST /api/v2/images/generations
Model IDs: Flux_2_Klein_4B_BF16, ZImageTurbo_INT8, ZAnimeDistill_8Step_INT8, Flux1schnell
Required fields: model, prompt, width, height, seed, plus steps for all four models above
Result: Job status at GET /api/v2/jobs/{request_id} with a result_url, or a webhook

From sign-up to your first image

You send a prompt as JSON and get back a link to the finished image. The models run on the deAPI distributed GPU network, so there is no GPU for you to host. To try prompts before writing code, use the Playground in your browser.

deAPI gives every new account $5 of credits with no credit card. At $0.0037 per FLUX.2 Klein image that is about 1,361 images, with up to 100 image requests a day on a free account. After that you pay per image.

Yes. The Playground runs the image models in your browser, with no code and no key, and gives a small number of free images a day without an account (the counter resets at 00:00 UTC). To call the API from your own code you need a key: after sign-up, create one in the dashboard under Settings → API Keys.

FLUX.1 Schnell, if you compare models at the same size and default steps. It costs $0.0019 per 768 × 768 image (October 2026). The price depends on size and steps, so smaller images cost less. FLUX.2 Klein costs $0.0037 at 1024 × 1024.

Yes, for FLUX.1 Schnell, Z-Image-Turbo and Z-Anime. Set the base URL to https://oai.deapi.ai/v1, use your deAPI key and call images.generate. On that endpoint FLUX.2 Klein is available for image edits only, so for Klein text-to-image use /api/v2/images/generations.

Yes. The API is plain HTTPS with JSON, so any bot framework can call it. Send the prompt, wait for the job, then post the result_url image to the chat.

FLUX.2 Klein 4B, Z-Image-Turbo, Z-Anime and FLUX.1 Schnell are released under the Apache 2.0 license, which allows commercial use. Your use of the API is covered by the deAPI Terms of Service, which make you responsible for having the rights your use needs.
